    Subtle is the key here…

    I was happy with my standard exhaust, but after a couple of thousand miles, decided that I would like just a little more motorcycle sound from my bike. I don’t like loud and lairy exhausts these days, so this exhaust which includes a tidy mid box was the way to go. Easy to fit and well made. I left the optional to fit catalytic converter out. My bike sounds more like a motorcycle now and less like a sewing machine, as it’s an OEM approved accessory and designed for the MT09 by Akropovic: it doesn’t have any negative effects on the fueling. But it is still civilised and doesn’t leave children crying or horses bolting. I only gave it 4 stars because Akropovic/Yamaha charge so much extra money for a bit of black paint on the can…mind you I did get it with a sale discount.
