The Merlin Men's Codsall D3O Baffle Armoured Motorcycle Jacket combines casual quilted jacket styling with the protection required for motorcycle riding. Part of Merlin's Heritage Collection, the Codsall is designed for riders who want a relaxed, understated look without sacrificing certified abrasion and impact protection.

Constructed with a 300gsm polyester-cotton outer, the Codsall features a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish to help protect against light showers and road spray. For colder rides, the square-baffle construction incorporates 800 synthetic power fill through the torso and 600 synthetic power fill through the sleeves, balancing warmth around the body with greater flexibility through the arms. A fixed poly-cotton and mesh lining provides a comfortable internal finish.

Despite its casual appearance, the Codsall is CE certified to EN 17092 Class AA for protective motorcycle clothing. Pre-fitted D3O® Ghost Level 1 armour at the shoulders and elbows provides lightweight, flexible impact protection with a low-profile fit. A dedicated back protector pocket also allows an optional D3O Viper or D3O Ghost back protector to be added separately for additional protection.

Practical riding details include a snap-down collar, zipped cuffs with two-position snap adjustment, an adjustable split-opening hem and an extended rear hem for additional coverage when seated on the motorcycle. Storage is provided by two large chest patch pockets, two lower pockets and an internal zipped pocket. YKK® zips are used throughout, while a short jacket-to-jean connecting zip and Euro hoop connector strap help secure the jacket to compatible riding trousers or jeans.
